Ed is proceeded in death by his brothers, Fount Barnes, Thomas Barnes, Lee Barnes, Sister Girlne Petty. He is survived by his brother Jessie Barnes, sister Suzie Heithcock, nephew Brian Keith Petty and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. First and foremost, Bill was a family man that had a love for his community of Curwensville. On any given evening in the fall, if you looked to the booth above the stands of the football field at Coach Andy Evanko Stadium, you would not only see but hear him as the voice of the Golden Tide. For over 30 years, he devoted his evenings to announcing football games from the midgets and mites from long ago to the Junior High, JV and Varsity games of today.
